Aspen Trees - Through my paintings I try to capture not only the appearance of these forests, but the experience of standing within them — the light, atmosphere, and calm that make these places so memorable

​The Canadian Wild series captures quiet wilderness moments across Alberta and the Canadian Shield. Using acrylic on canvas, Jim White focuses on light, depth, and atmosphere, translating decades of travel and exploration into vivid landscapes.

Unlike forests or mountains, prairie landscapes reveal their beauty through openness and light. The simplicity of the land allows the sky to take center stage. These quiet and expansive scenes continue to inspire many of my paintings.
