Jim White is a Canadian artist born in 1954 in Victoria, BC, Canada. He currently resides and works in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Jim White has a background in art education and has been actively involved in the art world for many years.
A passionate nature lover and adventurer,Jim’s work is a vibrant celebration of the stunning landscapes and captivating wildlife found in the heart of Canada. From the majestic Rockies to the serene lakeshores of Ontario, Jim has traversed the length and breadth of Canada, immersing himself in the diverse and awe-inspiring beauty of the land. Home Studio
Nestled in Grande Prairie, Alberta, my home studio is a small yet functional space that perfectly reflects the essence of the Canadian outdoors. Located near Jasper National Park and the Northwest Territories, the studio is surrounded by the serene beauty of the boreal forest. This proximity to nature provides endless inspiration for my original artwork, which aims to bring the captivating Canadian outdoor experience into living spaces. Despite its modest size, the studio is designed for creativity and productivity, making it an ideal sanctuary for artistic expression.

Jim has a long history of teaching art, spanning close to 45 years. His teaching career began with community classes and children's Art Camps at the Grande Prairie Art Gallery. Later, after obtaining an Education Degree, he taught various art-related subjects, including elementary art classes, CTS digital arts, visual communication, photography, and videography.

For the past 30 years, he has  imparted his knowledge as an educator in Digital Design, bringing a wealth of technical expertise to their artistry.
